Eleanor
Brasted

Eleanor Brasted’s career spans opera, music theatre, and Speech Pathology. She trained in performance at the Elder School of Music (Bachelor of Music Performance, Adelaide University, 2003), followed by the Royal Academy of Music in London, where she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Music Theatre (Distinction, 2006) and Licentiate in Teaching Musical Theatre. Eleanor also undertook a Summer School in Drama at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London.

Eleanor’s stage career includes performing as Swing and Cover “Confidant” in The Phantom of the Opera with The Really Useful Company across the Asia Pacific (2008–09) and on the World Tour (2014–15). Other highlights include the schools tour for Echelon Productions, and ensemble work with State Opera of South Australia and Opera Australia in The Mikado, Sweeney Todd, and Romeo et Juliette. With Co-Opera, she performed as Sally/Ida and covered Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus across regional and Malaysian tours (2003, 2013).

Her concert work includes Jason Robert Brown and Friends (London, 2006), and performing as a soloist with the Tutti Ensemble and Adelaide Symphony Orchestra at the Bundaleer Music Festival (2007). Eleanor was the recipient of the Arts SA Developing Artist Grant in 2005.
