Originally from the South Australian regional town of Loxton, Joey is a 2025 graduate from the Elder Conservatorium of Music Theatre. He was recently seen in the workshop development of the new Australian Musical, Dragonfly (dir. Valerie Berry) written by Jennifer Trijo in the 2026 Adelaide Fringe Festival playing the role of Sol. He also worked with Stare Opera at the start of 2026 on a new children’s opera show, A Score Through Time, directed and written by Nicholas Cannon. Other professional credits include Chorus in Candide with State Opera and State Theatre Company South Australia (dir Mitchell Butel & Amy Campbell) and Supernumerary in Swan Lake Australian Ballet (dir. David Hallberg). His Elder Conservatorium credits include Bud Frump in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (dir. Erin James), Jack in Into the Woods (dir. Miranda Middelton) and Dormouse/Nigel in Alice By Heart (dir. Erin James) Outside of music theatre Joey is a songwriter and musician, creating work and writing commissioned pieces.
